In 1656 Warsaw was defended by 18 cannons against 47 artillery units of allied Swedish and Brandenburg forces. In the 2008 reenactment, Korpus Artylerii Najemnej (a reenactment group called “The Mercenary Artillery Corps”) from Knurów, Poland, used the replicas of the 17th and 18th century falconets loaded with black powder.
